A bareboat charter is where you hire and sail the yacht yourself with no crew. Sail in the sheltered waters of the Solent with its wide array of different ports, harbours, creeks and rivers – or sail to further destinations and take in some French ports and the Channel Isles. The choice is yours.
Bareboat yacht charter is a fantastic option for those who are familiar with yachts, hold a RYA dayskipper qualification and appropriate tidal experience (not just theory) plus a VHF operators licence. However for those who needed the added confidence of having a skipper on board we also offer skippered charters. With skippered charter we will teach you any aspects of yacht sailing in a manner that is suitable to your learning style. If you want a less formalised approach and just need a helping hand and guidance – no problem. Skippered yacht charter is a fantastic, flexible way to learn new skills and tricks of the trade.
Own boat tuition is also available. See our skippered charter page for more details
